Operating a vessel whether commercial or recreational requires a wide depth of knowledge and experience gained over years.
Some of us sat a Maritime qualification many years ago and we learnt about Safe Navigation and all the requirements such as:
- Maritime safety compliance
- Rules of the road
- Navigation lights
- Buoys and beacons
- Weather and tide
- And much much more
Over time we can forget these points and it can show especially when we go into new ports with different Navigational aids.

This assessment is suggested for anyone that holds a Maritime Qualification and for those working onboard a commercial vessel that stand a watch!
Complete this and put the completion certificate in your MOSS training records to show you are refreshing your basic knowledge and can operate safe at sea.
ASSESSMENT
This assessment covers 84 knowledge, applied and scenario based questions to test your ability.
A 75% pass rate has been applied. You can repeat till you get it all correct or print off the quiz once completed to find out areas where you need to refresh your understanding or application.
